Cast Iron Spherulitic Graphite
Spherulitic graphite offers qualities similar to steel, which are generated with a special metallurgic treatment. Thanks to the graphite contained in the spheres, chip interruption can be achieved, and the tool wear can be lowered despite relatively high strength. In this way, the cast iron spherulitic graphite (ductile iron, nodular cast iron) helps to increase the cutting speed, shorten machining times and thus reduce costs.
